What OEM means for microneedle tools
OEM for derma rollers and stamps can range from a logo on a stock product to a new head or handle design with custom packaging. Knowing which level you need sets realistic expectations for cost, timing and minimums.
Step 1: Inquiry
Share your product type, target SKUs, quantities, branding needs and target markets. Attach your logo and any reference designs.
Step 2: Specification and quote
The factory confirms needle configuration, materials, packaging and documents, then quotes. Tooling cost and mold timing are quoted separately when a new design is needed.
Step 3: Samples
Samples show the product and packaging as they will be produced. Expect revisions on custom packaging; logo-only projects usually need fewer rounds.
Step 4: Approval
You approve the sample and final artwork in writing. This approved sample becomes the reference for bulk inspection.
Step 5: Production and shipping
Bulk production follows the approved sample, with inspection before packing. Export documents are prepared with the shipment.
Questions to settle early
Who owns the mold and artwork, what confidentiality terms apply, which label language and content your market requires, and which documents you need for import. Settle these in writing before tooling starts.
